"Extraordinary and dazzling" describe Karen's recent performances with the Galax Quartet. The new song cycles of composers Fred Frith, Allaudin Matthieu, Robert Morris, and Roy Whelden on poems of Pulitzer poet, Gary Snyder are recorded and due for release in 2010. In Summer 2010, Karen sings and directs music of the 12th C. mystic Hildegard von Bingen as part of the Berkeley Festival and the Songbird Festival in San Francisco.
